PG&E 250MW IPP Program Approved by CPUC

On last Thursday the CPUC approved the PG&E application for their complimentary 500 MW solar PV program to the recently enabled SCE SPVP program for rooftops.

This program enables projects up to 20MW as part of this 250MW IPP portion, as has been described before.

The final revision reverted to allowing PG&E to recover their development costs at a rate of $4.27/Wp, while allowing a maximum PPA rate cap of $0.246/kWh for the IPP reverse auction bidders to the yearly RFO.  The RFO will be at a max level of 50MW per each yearly solicitation.

Look at my earlier post for comments on the alternate proposed decision of Commissioner Peevey and the changes in the maximum PPA rate allowed under that propoal.
