Timing for Implementation of PG&E IPP Solar Program

The required timing for the implementation details is now published by the CPUC on the newly approved PG&E 250MW IPP program.

They state:

Implementation of the program requires an advice letter filing by PG&E to describe the competitive solicitation process and protocols, eligibility, and timeline for solicitations for IPP and UOG projects; process for identifying preferred locations for project development to optimize the locational value of project sites; interconnection application process and protocols; confidentiality protocols; and a standard contract for facilities less than 3 MW in size.  The advice letters implementing the IPP and UOG portions of the program will be filed by May 24 and June 21, 2010, respectively

Experience would lead one to expect that there will be a mimimal allowed filing of “protest letters” after a presentation by PG&E of their implementation advice letter.
